Rue Education, a premiere education services company, has enhanced its online presence by utilizing social networking on Facebook and Twitter. Because of thie endeavor, Rue is connecting with nurses and educators across the country.
Rue Education has a 20-year proven track record of helping motivated adult learners advance their careers by earning credit toward their nursing degree from Excelsior College, a regionally accredited, nationally recognized institution of higher education.
“Social networking allows Rue to communicate directly with nursing students and educators while being able to learn from them as well,” said Director of Marketing Kerri Swift. “We each come into a discussion with unique and diverse ideas, and we learn by listening and sharing ideas.”
Rue uses Facebook to enlighten prospective and current nursing students about the company. It also used Facebook to share Rue news, services, event updates, and articles on current trends in healthcare.
On Twitter, Rue plans to build a network of interaction and sharing of information. Tweeting about links to healthcare articles, blogs and Rue news, the company hopes to spark conversation among nursing students and the healthcare community.
“Recently, Rue Educational Consultants and Academic Advisors have been asked to follow nursing students on Facebook, and now we have an opportunity to join in the conversation as a company. We want to be there for nursing students in every way we can,” says Swift.
